It’s been awhile since I reached out with any news from the writing front.  My last book, Widowfield, was published in late 2008.  Thank you to all who gave it a chance (as well as a positive review).  Though I haven’t been very vocal since then, you can rest assured that I’ve been busy.  Here’s a quick update of what I’ve been working on.  (I promise I’ll be brief).

For over a year now, I have been contributing to the International Thriller Writers online webzine, The Big Thrill.  This program has given me a chance to correspond with established and up-and-coming authors and write articles about their forthcoming books.  It’s been a lot of fun.   www.thrillerwriters.org

All of my backlisted books are now available as e-book downloads from the publisher at www.iuniverse.com. 

On the writing front…

Dark Company

I recently finished a rewrite on this full-length thriller which features the exploits of a ruthless assassin who sheds his wicked ways in order to confront an even greater evil. 

Off The Grid

This is a new collection of short stories, all of which are straight thrillers featuring plenty of murder, mayhem, and suspense. 

The Creeps

Always interested in trying something new, this is a horror novel for young readers featuring a group of neighborhood friends who get into plenty of Halloween hijinks.

The Jonathan Master Series

Probably the most satisfying and fulfilling thing I’ve ever written, this series of action adventure novels for young adults (and regular adults too) features fifteen-year-old Jonny Master and his history professor grandfather as they attempt to unravel a series of mysteries based on historical lore.  There are three books currently completed with a fourth in the works. 

I’ve had a great time working on all of these projects.  Now comes the much more daunting task of finding a home for them.

Which brings me to my final announcement. 

The e-publishing world is currently taking the publishing industry by storm.  One of the leading innovators in this revolution is Amazon.com.  Their Kindle Direct Publishing program gives authors a chance to release their works as e-books that are exclusively available on Kindle e-readers. 

I have always been open-minded to alternative publishing options.  For this reason, I decided to give this format a shot and I am happy to announce that I now have a new short novel available in Amazon’s Kindle Store.

The Hated is a 22,000 word novella of terror featuring a seemingly normal young man who wakes up one seemingly normal morning only to discover that everyone he encounters hates and despises him.  Cut off and alone, he must try to survive in a world that’s out to get him, a world with no one to turn to and nowhere to run.

The Hated is just .99 cents at the Kindle Store and can be downloaded in a matter of seconds.

Don’t have a Kindle?  No problem.  Amazon.com has a free Kindle app that you can download directly to your computer.  It only takes a minute to load and will give you access to thousands of titles for a fraction of the price of traditional printed books.
